Our engineering culture

A discipline built the same way every time, on every site.

Meptura's practice is built on repeatable engineering method rather than any one person's memory of how a system was built last time — the same survey standard, the same design review, the same commissioning record, whether the project is a single retrofit or a full plant room.

Documented method

Design intent, calculations and commissioning records kept as a permanent project file, not a memory.

Code discipline

Every scope is checked against the fire and building codes it must satisfy, not against habit.

One accountable team

The team that surveys the building is accountable for the same building at handover and beyond.

Built for the long life of the asset

Systems specified and installed to be serviceable for the decades a building will actually stand.

About us

Mechanical and fire safety systems, delivered by one team.

Meptura brings HVAC, fire detection, fire prevention, fire pumps and protective equipment together under a single engineering practice. That means one survey, one design intent, one installation programme and one point of accountability for the life of the building.

We work across commercial, industrial and institutional projects — from new-build plant rooms through to retrofits of live, occupied facilities.

Pump range

Pump types available through our Armstrong partnership

Every set is specified against the duty point, not sold off a shelf — sourced through our Armstrong Fluid Technology partnership and configured with electric, diesel or variable-speed drive as the application requires.

Horizontal End Suction

The general-purpose workhorse — economical, straightforward to maintain, sized for standard commercial and industrial duty.

Horizontal Split Case

Angled-split casing for high-flow duty, with suction and discharge centrelines aligned for straightforward in-line piping.

Vertical In-Line

Up to 60% less floor space than an equivalent split-case set, with no offset piping or motor realignment on site.

Vertical Multistage

High head from a compact footprint, for booster duty and buildings where floor space at the plant room is limited.

Vertical Turbine

The only configuration rated to draw from below-grade sources — reservoirs, sumps and underground storage tanks.

Variable-speed & sensorless

Intelligent, self-sensing control for HVAC circulation — matching flow to demand rather than running at fixed speed.

05 — Full scope

Personal Protective Equipment

Certified protection for industrial, fire-response and facility teams, meeting occupational safety requirements across day-to-day operations and emergency response.

Respiratory protection

Filtering facepieces, half and full masks, cartridges and self-contained breathing apparatus for confined and contaminated environments.

Protective clothing

Flame-retardant coveralls, turnout gear, high-visibility wear and chemical-resistant clothing selected against the task risk assessment.

Safety accessories

Head, eye, hearing and hand protection, fall-arrest harnesses, gas detection and the consumables that keep them serviceable.
